Caritas Singapore marks anniversaries with Open House and Eucharistic Celebration at Agape Village

The open house held at Agape Village on 19 November 2016 to mark its 1st anniversary was a huge success. About 1,500 visitors attended the open house which had a myriad of booths and open house by social service organisations, performances, workshop, talks, food and games. The 1st anniversary of Agape Village, a Caritas Singapore initiative which houses different Catholic social services under one roof, also comes as Caritas Singapore marks its 10th anniversary.

As part of the Celebrations on 19th November, board members, staff and volunteers of Caritas Singapore and its Member Organisations came together to mark Caritas Singapore’s 10th anniversary with a Mass celebrated by Fr John-Paul Tan, OFM and co-celebrated by Fr Matthew Tan, SJ.

Around 100 participated in the Mass which was held at the multi-purpose hall.

Fr John-Paul highlighted the significance of the Feast of Christ The King and related it to the Church and Caritas Singapore’s vision to build a new civilization of love.
